The GDOC of the Police of the Republic of Armenia is an independent unit in the hierarchy of  the Police of the Republic of Armenia, and its functions are regulated under the Law of the  Republic of Armenia on the Police of the Republic of Armenia, the decrees of the Chief of  Police, and the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. Operative‐search activities of GDOC  are regulated by internal regulations and guidance, which are necessary for the adequate  organization and supervision of these functions.

For the purpose of carrying out operative‐search activities, GDOC needed an information system that would support the organization and implementation of the functions assigned to GDOC under the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, as well provide for the supervision and reporting over these functions. Therefore, TopSoft has undertaken the creation of a corresponding information system, which is called “Operative‐Search Information System for the Department against Cybercrimes, Trafficking, Terrorism and Illegal Migration under the General Department against Organized Crime”.
